TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date31 July 1897
DescriptionHarrison is sorry to find that he left out 'poor' Kennedy's salary from the cheques he gave [John] Evans to sign. He now sends them by registered post and shall be obliged by Evans signing and returning them. Explains he has been very ill with neuralgia for ten days.

Encloses an August cheque for petty cash which he thinks it would be safer to have as nearly ten pounds has already been taken by bills from Kennedy.

Encloses a cheque for £20 voted by the Council from the Donation Fund on 20th May to Dr Brunton for W B Hardy, minute ten, which Dr [Michael] Foster thinks it will be as well to send to Brunton, although it has not actually been asked for.

The Scientific Relief Committee on Wednesday made two grants, for which Harrison encloses cheques, as Evans has not been in. Encloses also the forms initialled by the Chairman as authority. [No attachments]
