TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Manager, London Electric Supply Corporation
Date9 June 1897
DescriptionAbout ten days ago Mr Preece, Engineer in Chief to the Post Office, promised to again allow the Society, on the occassion of the Conversazione, to make an attachment to the Post Office in Burlington House in order to obtain alternating current in connection with some scientific demonstrations. Asks if the Manager has heard from the Post Office on the subject as it is important that this is complete by the afternoon of the 15th.

Has drawn a cheque for the amount of the Manager's chargers for 19th May and will forward this as soon as he can obtain the Treasurer's signature [John Evans].

Asks if the Manager will examine the building with a view to laying a permanent cable from the transformer chamber of the Burlington House Post Office into the Society's building, to enable them to obtain alternating current. Asks for an estimate of the cost.
