TitleCopy letter from Theodore E James, to Messrs Longman's, Green and Company, 39 Paternoster Row, E.C.
Date3 September 1897
DescriptionWith reference to the Messrs request for electros from the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' the figures the Messrs require are part of a lithographed plate. The most convenient course would be to redraw the two figures and make zinco blocks of them. The Society could do this for the Messrs and then the Messrs would only have to pay for the redrawing and blocks.

Leave of Council is necessary for the use of drawings, but there seems no objection to this provisionally being given for the work in hand.
