DescriptionFirst thing this morning James heard from Dr [Dukinfield Henry] Scott that he is ill with a severe cold and cannot attend the Malpighi Festival at Crevalcore. In view of the short amount of time before the festival, James has telegraphed and written to the president of the Committee. Encloses a copy of his letter [not attached], which if he had waited for approval to send, would not have reached Crevalcore in time.
