TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Charles Sissmore Tomes, Fellow of the Royal Society, 9 Park Crescent, Portland Place, W.
Date3 December 1897
DescriptionSends thanks for Tomes' paper 'On the Development of Marsupials and other Tubular Enamels' which the Committee of Papers have directed to be published in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' . Before publication the Committeee think the paper should be rearranged and carefully revised to avoid repetition.

The Committee think ten figures would be sufficient to illustrate the points raised in the paper and that reference should be given to the photographs with the selection being left in Tomes' hands. Lists drawing and photograph numbers suitable for reproduction. Suggests that the last part of the paper dealing with the structure of enamel in fish would be better suited to a separate communication, set out in greater length. Recommends a more systematic and precise bibliography and that references to the investigations of Miss Nunn and Miss Carlsson should be introduced. The paper can be sent to Tomes for adjustments if he has not kept a copy.
