Description | Harrison has Sherborn's letter of the 4 [December]. The Sub-Committees, one of which Sherborn has been co-opted as a member, were formed to prepare schemes of classification for submission to the Society's Committee and have conducted all their preliminary deliberations outside that Committee and the Royal Society. Therefore there has been no direct relation between these Sub-Committees and the Royal Society. Harrison must therefore refer Sherbon to the Chairman of the Sub-Committee on which he has been acting regarding the completion of a scheme for Geology, and with regard to his strictures upon the lack of organization concerning this bibliographical scheme. If the Chairman thinks it proper he will bring these matetrs before the International Catalogue Committee. |
