DescriptionLetter relating to the maintenance of the Tasmanian Metereological Service and the tentative Observatory on Mount Wellington, was referred by the President and Council to the Observatories Committee of the [Royal] Society. Consideration of the subject was delayed with the recent Solar Eclipse.

The Committee now report that the scope of Wragg's proposal is not sufficiently definite to enable them to make any recommendation to the Council on the subject.
