TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to F G Jackson
Date18 February 1898
DescriptionYesterday ruled Jackson £50 from the 'Donations Fund' of the [Royal] Society. When a grant is made from this fund to a person who is not a Fellow, the practice is to grant the money to a Fellow as a sort of ['cever']. The recommendation of the Council is accordingly 'a grant of £50 to the President to assist Mr Jackson's' which is then passed on to Jackson.

Shall be very glad to have Jackson at the Antarctic discussion on 24 [February].
