TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to R Stewart Bain, Manager, London Electric Supply Corporation, 25a Cockspur Street, S.W.
Date19 April 1898
DescriptionA temporary supply of alternating current for experimental purposes is required at the approaching Soiree of the [Royal] Society. Asks that the necessary arrangements can be made with the Post Office and Mr Preece, the Engineer to the Post Office and who is also a Fellow of the Royal Society. Wants particulars of the frequency and voltage of the current in the mains as one of the exhibitors is anxious to know before arranging his exhibition.

Referring to the correspondence of last year on the subject of a permanent connection with the Manager's system through the Post Office terminals, asks for an estimate.
