DescriptionSharp's application on behalf of the Sandwich Islands Committee for a grant in aid of the expense of publishing the results of the Committee's investigation was laid before the President and Council and the following was resolved:

'That a sum of £250, as an instalment of a grant not to exceed £500, be paid to the Sandwich Islands Committee from the Publication Fund, provided the Government Grant Review Committee are satisfied with the allocation of the specimens collected by the Committee'.
