TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to the Marquis of Salisbury, Her Majesty's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs
Date27 July 1898
DescriptionAdverting to recent correspondence between the Marquis and the Society on the International Convention which it is proposed to hold in October in connection with the preparation of an International Catalogue of Scientific Literature, and especially to the communication lately received from the Marquis notifying the appointment of Delegates from foreign counties to the Convention, it would be convenient if the Marquis could inform Foster the name of the gentleman nominated to represent the British Government at the Convention. At the previous conference on this subject in 1896, Sir John Gorst represented Her Majesty's Government, and was unanimously elected to preside over the Conference.
