TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to W H Sheppard, 2 Temple Gardens, E.C.
Date28 July 1898
DescriptionIn reply to Sheppard's letter accompanying the amended copy of his paper, Harrison has received authority to go forward with the printing of the paper and thinks it would be best to get it set up and let Sheppard see it in proof side by side with the original manuscript. It is a rule of the Society that illustrations which it bears the expense of reproduction shall be furnished by authors in a condition ready for easy reproduction and he therefore requests more finished drawings than those currently present. Also asks for the still wanting table as soon as possible.

Sheppard's explanatory note refers to plates, which were not contemplated when the paper was under consideration by the Society's Committee and Harrison asks for some explanation regarding this. Harrison has no authority to incur any expense that was not contemplated when the Council's vote on the paper was taken.
