DescriptionAt the desire and with the help of the J Chamberlain, Her Majesty's Secretary of State for Colonial Affairs, the Royal Society is about to send observers to Africa to study various forms of Malaria.

Two of these observers, Dr J W W Stephens and Dr S R Christopher, have been directed before starting for Africa, to spend some time in Italy in order to study the Malaria prevalent in Rome and elsewhere. Asks permission to introduce these gentlemen to the recipients of this letter and hopes they will, in the interests of science, give these gentlemen such advice and assistance as may be in their power.
