TitleCopy letter from A H White, to Charles A Schunck
Date6 September 1898
DescriptionWith reference to Schunk's letter of the 1 about the errors and omissions in Schunck's 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' paper, White has not been able to find the manuscript of the paper. The Society building is undergoing repairs and they are in an extraordinary state of confusion at present.

White thinks Schunck was in Germany when the proofs were corrected and it is possible the manuscript never came back to the Society. Queries if Schunck remembers noticing errors in the proof. The omission of the explanation of the spectra is more serious than the incorrect letters and he explains how he thinks the latter occurred, and how it may be corrected.
