TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Alfred Bray Kempe, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date15 October 1898
DescriptionBelieves Sir John Evans will communicate with Kempe regarding the Gassiot Trust. Sends herewith a copy of the letter of the Treasury to the Royal Society, and a copy of the Report of the Committee [no enclosures]. The only point of difficulty that Rucker can see is that Mr Galton informs him that the Trust contains the condition that the Observatory and[?] the Trust Fund are to be under the entire control of a Committee, appointed from time to time by the Royal Society, with the suggestion that the Secretary of the Board of Trade shall be an ex-officio member. Asks for Kempe's opinion as he may issue a memorandum to the Members of Council before they meet.
