DescriptionThe Royal Society has this year awarded the Davy Medal to the Ambassador's countryman Professor Johannes Wislicenus, for his contributions to organic chemistry, especially in the domain of stereochemical isomerism. On this ground the President and Council feel special hope that the Ambassador will be able to present or be represented at the Anniversary Meeting on the 30th November and receive the Medal on behalf of Wislicenus.
