DescriptionIs much obliged for Lucas' letter of the 23rd and has written to Dr [John William Watson] Stephens for the statement and vouchers from him and Dr [Samuel Rickard] Christophers, such as Lucas requires. Will forward these to Lucas and understands that Lucas will move the Crown Agents to refund the money advanced by the Royal Society to the [malaria] observers. Annotated that since writing this Harrison has received the order from the Crown Agents for the £100.
