TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Editor of 'Astronomische Nachrichten', Kiel
Date19 December 1898
DescriptionIn reply to the Editor's letter of the 15th, Harrison assures the Editor that his previous letter on the subject of exchanging publications had not been overlooked. The exchange is such an old one that there has been great difficulty in tracing back its history. Having found no historical record to guide them, the question of whether the issue of the Society's publications was intended exclusively as an exchange for the 'Nachrichten' or as a presentation to the Observatory, the Library Committee has decided that the issue shall be regarded as an exchange and the Society's publications will in future be addressed as the Editor desires in his letter.

Regarding the volumes of the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]' sent to the Observatory since the 'Nanchrichten' were published by a separate organization, it rests with the Editor to make a request to the Observatory to hand over those volumes.
