TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Professor William Ramsay, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date20 December 1898
DescriptionThe proof of the paper by Ramsay and Travers was returned with an additional title 'As to Gases of Atmospheric Air. Part I'. It is contrary to custom to change the title of a paper as it leads to confusion in the books. Rucker has therefore ventured to strike out the addition. As Ramsay is away Rucker had to do this without consulting him and hopes he will not object. Is glad to see from the 'Times' that Ramsay's lecture was such a qualified success.
