TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Professor [A R] Forsyth, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date24 January 1899
DescriptionForsyth's communications and paper was brought before Rucker relating to the probability of a paper of the Chairman of a Committee sending in a paper of his own. It was agreed that a standing order should be prepared authorizing the secretaries to take the steps which would otherwise have been taken in conjunction with the Chairman, in consultation with another senior member of the Committee. This will overcome the difficulty of the Chairman having to appoint his own referee.

Asks whom should be suggested as referees, possibly McMahon or Elliot.
