TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to [Professor F A] Ford
Date27 January 1899
DescriptionHas read Ford's letters with great interest and is encouraged by his sympathy and interested in the Catalogue. Regarding the specific proposal contained in his second letter, the questions dealt with in it are no longer in their hands.

The matter now rests with the several national committees whom the delegates on their return from the conference were requested to establish. The report of these committees will have to be considered by the International Committee. Suggests that Ford lays his suggestions before the Swiss Committee. Does not think they will be able to combine, as Ford suggests, the Dewey system and a logical clarification at least not of all the subjects.
