TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster and Arthur William Rucker, to Presidente, Reale Accademia del Lincei, Rome
Date2 February 1899
DescriptionWrote a letter last year relating to a proposed association of scientific academies and societies. Have now received a reply to the letter which was addressed to the Imperial Academy of Sciences of St Petersburg. The Academy are favourably disposed towards the proposal of an association of academies and has requested further details. Hopes to receive a letter from the Presidente, Reale Accademia del Lincei, Rome, soon. Have also received a letter from the Managers of the "Elizabeth Thompson Fund" in the USA. The Managers of that fund think it possible that the fund might be used to support the proposed association.
