TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Professor [D J] Korteweg
Date7 February 1899
DescriptionShall answer Korteweg's questions in seriation:

A) No engagements have as yet been entered into by any country with respect to the guarantee found in [regional bureaux]? other than the statement made at the last national conference by some of the delegates, e.g. the French and Austrian.

B) Rucker does not know which of the countries will adopt a government guarantee for the same reason as above.

C) The provisional international committee is nearly constituted. The Imperial Academy of Sciences of St Petersburg has suggested a name of a delegate. Professor [Michael] Foster is in active communication with Professor [Mosso] in Italy. Poincare has taken the place of [Duboix] for France, [Epler?] for Klein in Germany, and Langley accepted for the U.S.A.

D) Does not think that there is any chance that the publishing of the catalogue will begin in 1900.

Asks for copies of the report so that he can distribute it.
