TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster and Arthur William Rucker, to Geheimrath M V Pettenkofer, Prasident, K B Akademie der Wissenschaften, Munich
Date8 February 1899
DescriptionHave received from the Imperial Academy of Sciencs of St Petersburg, to whom a letter was addressed concerning the proposed association of Academies, a reply to the effect that the Acedemy is favourably disposed towards the proposal and requests further details.

Have not yet heard back from the Academy of Sciences of Paris, nor from Lincei at Rome, but think that the Kartel would like to hear of the favourable attitude of the Academy at St Petersburg. Have also received a letter from the Managers of the "Elizabeth Thompson Fund" in the United States of America, from which it appears that the Managers of the Fund think it possible that the Fund might be used in support of the proposed association.
