TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Lexis
Date9 March 1899
DescriptionIn answer to Lexis' letter, can only assure him that Professor Klein's name would be most acceptable to [the Royal Society] in [England] and that he would be welcomed by the other members of the provisional International Committee.

The Committee reserved the right of co-option but it was understood that if any Government nominated a candidate he would be selected as a matter of course. Therefore asks that Lexis either obtains the formal nomination of Professor Klein from the German Government, or send Harrison a formal acceptance that he is the candidate approved by them.
