TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Frank McClean, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date5 July 1899
DescriptionMcClean's letter regarding the illustrations to Dr Gill's paper was considered by the Sectional Committee yesterday and they recommend the photographs be published as they are, but with an explanatory note that they have unavoidably lost a great deal in the process of enlargement. The Society's engraver took great pains over the preparation of the half-tone blocks, but found he could get no better results from the originals.
