DescriptionThe Council of the Society have had before them the invitation from the Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences to send delegates to the commemoration of the one hundredth anniversary of the foundation of the Academy.

Foster is requested to convey the felicitations of the Society to the Academy on the celebration of its anniversary. Professor Ernest W Brown FRS of Haverford College, Philadelphia, and Dr George M Dawson FRS, of the Geological Survey of Canada, Ottawa, have been nominated delegates ming centenary representing the Society.
