TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs S B Bolas & Company
Date19 October 1899
DescriptionMust decline the Company's estimate for the two 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' plates for the paper by Worthington and Cole, as submitted at £7.15 per plate of 800. The Society only has a certain amount to spend on this paper and they calculated about £5 per plate, the price they commonly pay. Observes that the Messrs price for the Ferrier and Turner plates a year or two ago was £7 per 1000, and recalls that the Messrs wrote at the time that in future their quotations for similar work would be considerably lower.

If they wish to reduce their estimate, asks them to write promptly.
