TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Joseph Henry Gilbert, Fellow of the Royal Society, Harpenden
Date19 October 1899
DescriptionOn receipt of Gilbert's letter of the 14th, Harrison sent to the printers to ascertain whether there might be time to make the corrections Gilbert wishes to have inserted in the private copies of his abstract, but regrets to say the copies were delivered on Saturday. Apologizes that the error in the title on the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' cover escaped observation. It will however be corrected in the volume of 'Proceedings' and in the full paper in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'.
