TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Arthur Schuster, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date19 October 1899
DescriptionRucker is directed by the Committee of Physics and Chemistry to ask if Schuster would be kind enough to prepare a short notice for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' of that part of Mr Sworn's paper which they think of scientific interest. All that is wanted is a short statement of the problems dealt with and of the nature of the more important and least doubtful remarks.

In view of Schuster's own criticisms and those of his fellow referee, the Committee did not feel inclined to publish the paper as a whole.
