TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Charles Chree, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date9 November 1899
DescriptionReferring to Chree's letter of the previous day, discusses the history of Dr Harker's paper and notes excessive alterations to papers have to be approved by the Secretaries and the Society does not undertake the extra expense. Asks if Chree will be kind enough to mention these facts to Chree. With '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]' papers, it has never been the Society's practice to have proofs go into slip.

Will not omit to send an early proof to Professor Carey Foster.

Chree will receive his own 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' paper in pages in a day or two and Harrison hopes he will return the sheets with all promptness.
