TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to General Richard Strachey, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 January 1900
DescriptionEncloses a copy of a letter which has just been received from the Treasury [not attached]. It is rather ambiguous but Rucker presumes it means that whilst the Treasury consent they do not express approval. Under these circumstances it will perhaps, be better than no official action should be taken till the letter has been reported to the Council of the Royal Society on the 18th.
