DescriptionRefers a letter from Professor Ayrton to Stokes [not included], and enquires as to whether the rule that nothing is to be printed in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' which has been printed elsewhere, applies when the type for the matter has already been set. Rix is reluctant to stop the 'Proceedings' for two weeks on the basis of Ayrton's note. Requests a reply by tonight's post.
