TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr W Norris, Willingham Fen, Cambridge
Date5 April 1888
DescriptionThe mechanical 'contrivances' described in Norris' letter are outside the scope of the Royal Society's work, and having seen his letter, the Officers of the Society instructed Rix to tell Norris that they could not take the matter up. Rix suggests that an institute connected with mechanical engineering would be more suitable.
