DescriptionNotes an enclosed letter from Mrs Barker of 71 Wharton Road [not included]. Rix records that he cannot trace the letter in which the Royal Society declared that the North British Office was not one selected, and has consequently sent the letter on to Messrs Smith & Oakley assuming that it relates to their correspondence. Their reply is enclosed [not included], and Rix asks that the matter is given attention.

A postscript records a letter from the Society to Messrs Few & Company relating to insurance for Wharton Road on 5 and 15 July 1886.
