Rix records that he cannot trace the letter in which the Royal Society declared that the North British Office was not one selected, and has consequently sent the letter on to Messrs Smith & Oakley assuming that it relates to their correspondence. Their reply is enclosed [not included], and Rix asks that the matter is given attention.
