TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster [Royal Society]
Date30 April 1888
DescriptionRix provides information on events at the Royal Society.

Apologises for his postscript, but notes that while he did hestitate over the matter, he was guided by three considerations, namely, prior practice since 1876 as demonstrated in the minute book, the fact of it being on the summonses last year, and that last year's list shows that the rule was observed by all apart from Foster.
Foster's message to add Wright was too late for the postcards, but in time for The Times advertisement. A notice has been sent to authors.
Rix encloses a proof of the balloting list [not included], and enquires as to the presentation of Colonel's Clark's name as he is up for re-election.
Rix encloses three copies of the Government Grant Regulations [not included].
