TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to P Edward Dove
Date21 May 1888
DescriptionJohn Evans drew two cheques for the Darwin Memorial Fund, J C Thynne for 151 pounds and one shilling on 26 December, and J L Boehm for 150 pounds on 7 January.

Rix does not have vouchers for the sums and Evans drew the cheques in his personal cheque book and so the account did not pass through Rix's hands. He asks if Dove has the receipts, and if so, that he send them, as the two amounts are unvouched for in Rix's cash-book and appear in the Royal Society's pass-book.
