DescriptionIn reference to an enclosed 'Election Letter', Rix wishes Jervois to know that at the next meeting of the Council it will be moved that an extension of time be granted for his admission into the Royal Society, until his return to England.

Annotated at the head of the letter to state that a copy has also been sent to Mr Henry Trimen and Professor Thomas Jeffery Parker.
