TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to G Jervis, Regio Museo Industriale, Turin, Italy
Date23 July 1888
DescriptionIn relation to their previous correspondence, Rix notes that Jervis' offer of generous terms for the purchase of the geological map of the Crimea, was considered at the January meeting of the Royal Society Library Committee, but they decided to refer the matter to referees and consider it again at their next meeting. In spite of its value and rarity, the Committee finally decided to decline the offer, as the majority of the Society's Fellows have access to copies in nearby libraries.
