TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Dr Meidinger, Caledonian Hotel, Adelphi Terrace, Strand, E.C.
Date27 September 1888
DescriptionThe Royal Society has no letters of Benjamin Franklin's, but suggests that he might find something relating to his subject amongst the Society's letters which are well indexed under authors' names. Although he would not be allowed to make extracts without the Council's permission, he would be allowed use of the available facilities.

Rix asks if Meidinger has seen the 'Report of the Lightning-rod Conference' published by Spon of the Strand, as it is important and contains a large index on the subject.
