TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Edward Walker, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date8 November 1888
DescriptionWalker's cheque of 1 November in payment of his annual subscription has been returned by his bankers, meaning his name is removable from the list of Fellows of the Royal Society. The Treasurer has stated that if Walker makes the payment of four pounds in cash it will be accepted. Rix must insist that the matter receive immediate attention and the sum be given in cash as their annual audit is in progress, and the balance will be disrupted if the money is not received without delay. Rix requests a response by noon the next day.
