DescriptionRix has the pleasure of informing Berry that one of the two Royal Medals of the Royal Society, will this year be awarded to the Baron Ferdinand von Mueller, Fellow of the Royal Society, for his services to Australian exploration and investigations into the flora of the Australian Continent, with Queen Victoria's approval. The Royal Society hope it will be convenient to attend the Anniversary Meeting of the Society in Burlington House on 20 November at 4pm, to receive the medal from George Gabriel Stokes, President of the Society, on behalf of Mueller.
