Description | States that on the last occasion that their men cleaned the Royal Society's window, two squares of plate glass were broken in a swing window. The Board of Trade were asked if they would repair it, but have stated that they are not liable for the repair of any windows aside from the skylights. The Treasurer says that the window must be repaired and that they are liable for the cost, although he is willing to bear half the cost. Rix has sent Goslett to replace the glass and will inform them when the bill arrives. |
