Date3 December 1888
DescriptionProvides updates on matters of Royal Society business.

Notes that there is a Council meeting on 20 December, but no meetings on 27 December or 3 January, and asks if he wishes the Library Committee to meet on 13 December or 10 January.
Asks if he can put a new edition of the Royal Society Statutes in hand as there have been so many alterations.
Encloses a letter to the Treasury [not included] concerning personal grants, which Foster is to read before signing, and it will be posted to Cambridge if approved.
Rix states that he ought to put the advertisement for the next government grant meeting on the wrapper of the next 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'], and asks if Foster knows yet about dates.
