DescriptionProfessor Harry Govier Seeley has been awarded a sum of money to assist him in an investigation of the Permian or Trias Reptilia in Russia and Cape Colony, and proposes to go to Russia in April 1889 to continue his work.The President and Council of the Royal Society express their hope that the Marquess of Salisbury, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, may be willing to inform representatives at St Petersburg and Moscow of the purpose of Seeley's journey to facilitate arrangements for his investigations.
