TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to J Morley Dennis, 45 Victoria Street, Grimsby
Date9 January 1888
DescriptionApologises for the delay in responding to his letter of 28 December, owing to the fact that the letter arrived during the Christmas vacation and the pressure of work since that time. Rix advises that he contacts Messrs Johnson, Matthey & Company or Mr Pinches, who has just been striking a medal for the Royal Society Treasurer, for the information he needs. Rix estimates the cost of a pair of dies, and points Dennis toward Weld's 'History of the Royal Society', volume 1, pages 219 and 413 for prints of the Society's medals.
