TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date15 January 1889
DescriptionRix has a revise of the appendix, and there will be no unnecessary delay. Despite it being out of the ordinary, Rix takes Foster's note as a request to see a proof in pages and has given instructions that this should happen before the printing off, although of course no major alterations can be made at this stage.
The pages will not be made up immediately due to delays with 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' caused by the President of the Society's anniversary address being submitted weeks late, and subsequent stoppages. Rix recommends Joseph Norman Lockyer is informed about this.
Mr Collings has not sent Rix any of the photographic figures they want, and he will be glad to have them at Foster's leisure.
