TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Adam Sedgwick, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date17 March 1900
DescriptionHas heard from Professor Herdman that he has nominated Sedgwick to act as deputy in the Chairmanship of the Zoology Sectional Committee during Herdman's absence. Harrison therefore asks if Sedgwick concurs with the suggestion of the Secretaries that a paper recently received from Professor Ewart on variations should be provisionally referred to Professors [Louis Compton] Miall and [Walter Frank Raphael] Weldon, who are already looking at a paper by Dr Vernon on 'Certain laws of Variation'. Ewarts paper exceeds the length of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' papers but the author particularly wishes it for this publication.

Encloses letter from Ewart [not enclosed].
