DescriptionAdvises that Barnes' paper on 'The Theory of the Double Gamma Function' is to be printed in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The Sectional Committee think a statement of the notations adopted and a table of contents should be prefixed to the paper, which should also be substantially abbreviated by the adoption of the enclosed recommendations [not attached]. On hearing from Barnes that he is willing to carry out these suggestions, the manuscript shall be returned.
