DescriptionInforms Thorpe that the President and Council of the Royal Society have nominated him to act as one of the delegates of the Society at the forthcoming General Assembly of the International Association of Academies. This meeting will occur in Paris, probably in October. The Society's other delegates are: Lord Kelvin [William Thomson], Professor Armstrong, Professor [Andrew Russell] Forsyth, Sir M Foster, Sir A Geikie, Professor Lankester, Sir N Lockyer, Professor Rucker, Professor Schuster, and Sir D Gill.
